On February 12, 2018, the head of the Department of Surgical Disciplines, Professor N.T. Abatov organized and conducted a master class "3D technology in surgery" for practitioners, residents, surgical doctor-interns on the basis of the Medical Center of Karaganda State Medical University.  

The topic of the master class is very relevant, as along with the generally accepted minimally invasive surgical intervention in endovideosurgery, 3D technologies that include a volumetric image of the operating field allow to expand the arsenal of surgical equipment while performing high-precision manipulations.

In the framework of the master class, the issues of surgical treatment of fluid formations of abdominal cavity organs of parasitic and nonparasitic origin were highlighted, namely endovideosurgical treatment of liver echinococcosis, kidney cysts in modern equipment with 3D image function.

In summing up the participants of the master class highly appreciated the level of equipment of the MC of the KSMU, the professionalism and qualification of the surgical team, the coordinated work of all the medical staff of the surgical hospital. The knowledge acquired by the listeners contributed to broadening their horizons, increasing their creative potential, persistent development of the material using modern technologies and evidence-based information resources.
