New experience and new perspectives

New experience and new perspectives

02 November 2017

I, Shatagulova Elvira Yuryevna, a student of the 5th year of the General Medicine specialty, had an excellent opportunity to participate in the professional exchange from the KazMSA student youth organization.  I had a professional practice on the basis of one of the best hospitals in the city of Bucharest-Spitalul Clinic de Urgenta Bucuresti in the field of "Plastic Surgery" study.

I had two wonderful mentors - plastic surgeons Bogdan Kiaru and Adrian Frunza.  Every day in the walls of this hospital was unique, my mentors were very sympathetic, friendly people and were happy to share knowledge, taught new manipulations, gave detailed answers to emerging questions.  The entire staff of the large medical family of this hospital was very welcome to the participants of the exchange program IFMSA.  Speaking about the participants of the program, I can not help saying that they were very positive, funny, smart guys.  August incoming from the FASMR (Romania) organization are medical students from different countries - Turkey, Italy, Russia, Mexico, Ecuador, Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia, Croatia, Serbia, India, Japan, Greece and of course Kazakhstan.  We were all very different, but we had one thing in common: the desire for knowledge, the acquisition of new experience in medicine, communication with patients and with each other.

Also, I would like to single out very hard-working and energetic guys of FASMR (Romania), who managed to organize not only our working days in the walls of hospitals, but also a wonderful cultural program.  We visited a number of unique places in Romania - the Peles Palace, Bran Castle, better known as the Castle of Count Dracula, Lake Balea, the Palace of Parliament, many museums and parks.

I would like to express my gratitude to the rector of the KSMU, Professor Raushan Sultanovna Dosmagambetova, the IFMSA program, the employees of the International Cooperation Department and Bologna process for the opportunity to participate in the professional exchange!
