Patient`s school in the Oncology Center
On September
22, 2017 there was organized and conducted a
regular patient’s school in the CSE "Regional Cancer Center" in Karaganda.
This event is welcomed by patients as it provides answers to many questions of
prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.The
school was opened by
the deputy director for
the quality of medical services O.S. Omarova.On the agenda was a
discussion of colorectal cancer.The assistant of
the Department of Oncology V.A. Zhumalieva highlighted the etiological features, alerts
and preventive measures of colorectal cancer.Prevention attracted
a particular interest.Recommendations were given on the diet, water schedule and motor activity according to the age group for the timely
evacuation of the bowel.There was presentedscreening
program for colorectal
cancer in Kazakhstan which was explained
in details, understandable to the inhabitants.The
presented topic received a positive feedback from invited patients and their
relatives.
