On 19 Marchat “Dinamo” Sports Complex in Astana ended the games of the I Republican Mini-Football Tournament titled “Dostyk kubogi” (“Cup of Friendship”) among the teams of ethnocultural associations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The tournament was dedicated to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Uzbek Ethnocultural Center in Astana and the 20th anniversary of Astana Day.

  The tournament was organized by the Uzbek Ethnocultural Center in Astana with the support of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Astana, Department of Internal Affairs of Astana, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and “Dustlik” Association of Ethnocultural Public Associations of Uzbeks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  The teams from Almaty, Astana, Taraz, Shymkent and Semey took part in the tournament. Karaganda region was represented by a student team of KSMU, consisting of the following:

Abdizhabbarov Shakhzod (7-005 OM), Team Captain;

Abdisamatov Husan (6-057 OM);

Abdumannatov Oybek (6-121 OM);

Iristaev Erkinjon (7-075 OM);

Ergashev Khairullah (7-042 OM);

Yusanov Iliosjon (4-087 OM);

Yunusov Zufar (Residency student);

Yunusmetov Bunyodzhon (7-018 OM).

  Having won a convincing victory over the teams of Astana (KSMU-Astana 2:1),Taraz (KSMU-Taraz 4:2) and played a draw with the team of Almaty (KSMU-Almaty 1:1), our guys took the 1st place in the subgroup, and reached the semi-final where in a persistent struggle won the strong-willed victory over the team of Semey (KSMU-Semey 3:2).In the finals, our team lost to the owners of the site, “Poytakht” team (Astana).

  Results of the tournament:

  III place – “Loshin” (Semey);

  II place - KSMU (Karaganda);

  I place – “Poytakht” (Astana).

   Yunusmetov Bunyodzhon (KSMU) was awarded the title of “The Best Goalkeeper” and the captain of our team Abdizhabbarov Shakhzod was acknowledged as “The Best Player of I Republican “Cup of Friendship”.
