From 5 December to 15 December 2016, the residency students of the second year of training on specialties “Pediatrics” (3 people) and “Neonatology” (4 people) completed training within the academic mobility program at the University Medical Center Corporate Fund in Astana.

The residency students could attend the lectures of the Chief Children's Anesthesiologist-Resuscitator of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District, a Member of the City Commission on Pediatrics, Children's Anesthesiology and Resuscitation,Professor Y.S. Aleksandrovich on the topics “Infusion therapy” and “Inotropic therapy”, and the lectures of an Anesthesiologist-Resuscitator from Moscow,Professor V.I. Zabolotsky on the topic “Anaesthesia”.

The residency students of “Pediatrics” specialty were trained at the departments of cardiorheumatology and nephro-urology; the residency students of “Neonatology” specialty were trained at a neonatal intensive care unit (department of pathology).

In the process of training, the residency students practiced their skills in such manipulations as: intubation of trachea, umbilical vein catheterization, surfactant-replacement therapy, ventriculopuncture, and others.
