The annual international conference "Actual problems of Neurology" was held in Almaty on May 20-21. The conference was opened by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor A.A. Skoromets, Head of the Human Brain Institute named N.P. Bechterev, Professor, M.D. L.S. Chutko, Head of Cerebrovascular Diseases Unit, Hospital Universitari Mútua Terrassa, Head of Neuroscience Group at FRDMT (Barcelona, Spain) J. Krupinski, as well as representatives of research institutes, centers and institutes of higher education of Kazakhstan. Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology, M.D. Т.Т. Kispaeva with the report "Dorsopathies pregnant: Current status of the problem" participated in the conference on behalf of the KSMU.

 At the conference, topical issues of nervous system disorder, the current understanding of the pathogenesis and therapeutic ways of correction have been affected. The satellite symposium "Modern aspects of diagnosis and treatment of debilitating CNS disorders: Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclerosis", as well as a master class by Academician, Professor A.A. Skoromets for "spondee-angio-neurology" was organized as part of the conference.

 KSMU 5th year student A. Nurakhmetova acted in the conference program at the section "Young Scientist" with the report "anticonvulsant therapy during pregnancy", the 3rd place  was taken by her (scientific supervisor was M.D. Kispaeva T.T.). The performance was highly appreciated by the competitive commission.
