International scientific-practical conference of young scientists and students was held in the city of Astana on the basis of  Astana Medical University on 14-15 of April 2016. Students and young scientists of medical universities of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries took part at the conference. The conference was held in the following sections: surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, sports medicine, public health, chemistry, anatomy, biology, and social-humanitarian disciplines.

Conference participants from Karaganda State Medical University in the "Surgical and related disciplines" were students of 4-5 courses of faculty General Medicine and Dentistry: E.R. Tashmetov (4 courses), V.V. Troshin, V. S. Pankov,  A.Z. Altynbaev ( 5 course). On the first day of the section 19 reports were presented. The reports were devoted to various aspects of surgery, traumatology, endoscopy and dentistry: "A new method for the treatment of post-burn contractures " J.J. Nurmasheva, "Provided experimental evidence of the GIFTBOX on cadaveric Achilles tendos under experimental and laboratoric conditions" D.B. Zhaksymbetov, D. K. Sabykov, "Thoracoscopy with lung echinococcosis in children" V.S. Pankov.

By unanimous decision of the members of the committee  the I place was awarded to the 5th year students of KSMU V.V.Troshin a presentation on "Influence of intra-abdominal hypertension on the circulation gram-negative flora in the bood" under the direction of assistant department of surgical diseases№2  and pathological anatomy Master of Medical Sciences Matyushko D.N., the II place was awarded to students of  MUА a report " Provided experimental evidence of the GIFTBOX on cadaveric Achilles tendos under experimental and laboratoric conditions" and the III place  to V.S. Pankov, 5th year of student KSMU, report "thoracoscopy with lung echinococcosis in children" under  the direction of c.m.c., assistant professorof subdepartment of children’s surgery H.B. Bismildin.
