On December 10. the Ministry of Education of the Students Republic «Samruk» held a round table on the theme "Independence day of the Republic of Kazakhstan".  The round table was also attended by representatives of other ministries, deputies and the president of the Students` Republic «Samruk».

The round table began with welcome speech of Minister of Education of the SR "Samruk", then a member of the Ministry Sakauova Zarina made a presentation about the difficult path of independence of our country.

24 years of  Independence  it is a short period for history. But for us, this short period of time became an epoch. Our people realized the age-old dream –created their own nationhood. For the first time Kazakhstan’s people got the right to speak on behalf of our people in the international arena and to defend their vital interests. Kazakhstan has been recognized by the world community, it became a full member of the UN, established diplomatic relations with many countries of the world.

Of course, it was not easy for our country to begin to "build" our own state, to get out of the crisis, to overcome unemployment, but we have passed these difficulties. We have strengthened , and now our country continues to move forward. During the time of our independence we have done a lot: we built a strong state, we created one of the most dynamic economies and improved living standards.

At the round table, we also discussed the fact that, unfortunately, today's young people in Kazakhstan often do not pay enough attention to this holiday. We, the generation born in independent Kazakhstan, and many of us do not realize importance of this day, it seems that it has always been take this. However, it doesn’t and we should never forget about it. It was a very important period for our nation, we wanted to get independence for several centuries, and finally got it. That's why this holiday can rightfully be considered as the most important holiday of the year.
