Kazakhstan is a free from tuberculosis country!

A month campaign for the prevention of tuberculosis, timed to coincide with World TB Day under the topic "Kazakhstan is a free from tuberculosis country!" was held in all regions of the country from February 24 to March 23, 2015. To this end, the staff of phthisology department of KSMU held event on the topic "TB, ways of transmission and prevention," for the pupils of the school №50 in Karaganda on March 18, 2015.

The aim of the lecture was to familiarize students with the epidemiology of tuberculosis, especially the epidemiology of tuberculosis in Kazakhstan, modes of transmission and prevention.

Assistant of the department of phthisiologyKozhamuratov M.T. engaged the students of 4-008 group of G.M. faculty to the event. Lectures were read in two languages (Kazakh, Russian). Lecturers: Sermagambetova N. – the official language and Les A. - in Russian. Multimedia equipment and interactive whiteboard were used at the lecture. Videos about TB were shown to schoolchildren. The presented lecture and video materials aroused keen interest of pupils. The dialogue between students and pupils showed the relevance of this topic among the population.
