NCJSC “Karaganda Medical University” announces the holding of the I (intra-university) stage of the Republican annual competition of scientific research works of students (further SRWS competition).

The main goals and objectives of the SRWS competition are:

1)  Stimulating research and educational and cognitive activities of students;

2)  Selection and support of the most talented and gifted students;

3)  Assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Research and Development competition is held in 2 stages:

1) The first stage is intra–university;

2) The second stage is republican.

Students and student groups of the university can participate in the SRWS competition on the proposal of scientific societies or a scientific supervisor.

To participate in the SRWS competition, you must provide the following documents:

1) Scientific work;

2) Abstract of the scientific work (according to the form in Appendix 1);

3) Feedback from the supervisor on the degree of independence of the work performed (in any form);

4) Information about the author(s) and the scientific supervisor.

Requirements for the design of scientific work: Scientific work in Kazakh, Russian and English printed in Times New Roman font, size – 12, interval – 1.5 is submitted to the SRWS competition. The amount of work should not exceed 20-40 pages. Restrictions on the volume of work in the direction of its increase may be changed by the basic universities according to the sections of the competition. The presentation of models and natural exhibits is not allowed. The drawings and illustrations attached to the work should be arranged on standard-sized sheets. The scientific work may be accompanied by acts (copies of acts) on the implementation of the results of scientific work, copies of patents, scientific articles. Theses, term papers and projects can be submitted to the competition if they contain scientific novelty or provide for the implementation of their results in production or in the educational process.

·  The winners of the II stage (republican) SRWS competition, who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, will be awarded I-, II- and III-degrees diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

·  The student – laureate, who took the 1st place, is provided with encouragement from the NCJSC “Karaganda Medical University”.

·  Upon admission to the Master's program, the achievements of the students – laureates awarded with diplomas of the SRWS competition are considered by the admissions committees. A scientific supervisor, under whose supervision students have completed at least three award-winning scientific papers, will be awarded a diploma from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
