Dear scientists! Goethe University invites to participate the conference!
04-07
July, 2016 I Frankfurt am Main, Germany
About the conference
Quality control of cells is essential to maintain cell survival and cellular homeostasis and its malfunction leads to severe damage and disease. Two key biological pathways controlling cellular integrity are the ubiquitin system and autophagy. While knowledge about both systems has advanced substantially over the past years, it has become clear that detailed knowledge of the interconnectivity of biological pathways is crucial to understand the complexity of biological responses and to be able to therapeutically intervene.
In five interdisciplinary sessions this conference brings together leading experts in the fields of quality control in cells, with a focus on ubiquitin and autophagy:
· Ubiquitination and autophagy networks
· Protein translation, folding and agreggation
· Membrane and organelle quality control
· Quality control of signalling and nuclear events
· Targeting of ubiquitination and autophagy
