Collaboration within the FOR21 project

On May 19, 2024, during one of the final meetings on the project “Fostering the doctor of the 21st century: education for patient-centered communication”, representatives of the Karaganda Medical University project team - Director of the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies, associate professor Kemelova Gulshat Seitmuratovna and associate professor Matsiyevskaya Larisa Leonardovna took part in the international scientific and practical conference “Communicative competence of the future doctor”, held at the Tashkent Medical Academy (Uzbekistan).


 During the master class, Kemelova G.S. acted as a standardized patient when demonstrating the clinical case “Complaint of a relative of a patient with dementia.” Matsiyevskaya L.L. presented a report on the methodology of educating the future standardized patient for the educational process, and in the second oral report she presented the theses of the KMU team on the formation of medical professionalism among medical students. Meetups and benchmarks in this project are an important component that contributes to the dissemination of the pedagogical and patient-centered clinical experience gained during the work.

The organizers of the Conference performed perfectly during the event. This conference was attended by representatives of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, University of Leeds (UK), teachers of medical universities of Uzbekistan and FOR21 Project Coordinator Panos Bamidis and Project Manager Anastasia Rodina-Theocharaki from Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. All Conference participants received good impressions from the content of the discussion.
