Exchange of knowledge between universities
On the basis of the NCJSC "Karaganda Medical University" in the framework of international academic mobility of the discipline "Epidemiology" Professor of the Department of Epidemiology, Parasitology and Disinfectology of the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, St. Petersburg, A.V. Lyubimova gave lectures.
The participants were faculty members of the School of Public Health, students and graduates of the “Public Health” EP and epidemiologists from practical healthcare.
General issues of epidemiological diagnosis, descriptive and analytical epidemiological research methods, issues of epidemiology and prevention of infections associated with medical aid (IAMA), monitoring of antimicrobial resistance and many others, as well as video films on the prevention of occupational exposure of medical staff were demonstrated.
The students were tested to assess the level of knowledge (pre-test). The workshop was held at a high level with active discussion of practical issues. The participants were actively involved, asked questions to which they received comprehensive answers. It was very positive, interesting, fun and informative. The audience managed to learn the prepared material and deepen their knowledge.
