The great holiday is Nauryz!

Nauryz is the main holiday of the year for both Kazakhs and many Asian peoples, celebrated for more than five thousand years. Nauryz is a celebration of spring, renewal of nature, the beginning of a new year, a new life. The celebration of Nauryz has pagan roots, it is a celebration of nature worship.

The Academic Work Department of the Institute of Life Sciences together with the departments and students (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students), conducted Nauryz Meiramy.

The main purpose of the event is to strengthen peace and friendship in Kazakhstan, the preservation of national identity, promotion of family values, instilling in the younger generation the traditions and customs of our people.
