Intermediate analysis of learning outcomes for the development of communication skills within the framework of the FOR 21 project

On March 15, 2022,
a scientific and methodological mini-conference "Intermediate analysis of
learning outcomes for the development of communication skills within the
framework of the FOR 21 project" was held on the basis of the Karaganda
Medical University. The mini-conference was attended
by representatives of the temporary scientific team of "MUK" NCJSC: P.S
Semenikhina, coordinator of the FOR 21 Project, Assistant of the Department of
Neurology, Pediatrics and Rehabilitation, Ricklefs Viktor Petrovich -
Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Kemelova Gulshat Seitmuratovna - Head of the
Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies, S.S. Kalieva - Head of the
Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-based Medicine, T.O. Abugalieva-
Acting head of the Department of
"Family Medicine", S.E Halmuradova, M.V. Timakhovich, A.S Saparova -
trainers of "MUK" NCJSC, Al-Abdullah Salim Jalal - assistant of the
Department of Communication Skills of KazNMU named after Asfendiyarova, F.A.
Bagiyarova - Associate Professor of the Department of Communication Skills of KazNMU named after Asfendiyarov and 33
students of the 5th year of the specialty "General Medicine". There
were 45 people in total.

Viktor Petrovich Ricklefs opened the mini-conference with a welcoming
speech, presenting goals and objectives, Polina Sergeevna Semenikhina
highlighted the main directions of the FOR 21 Project "Development of
patient-centered communication skills". Trainers Halmuradova S.E.,
Timokhovich M.V., Saparova A.S. presented a report on piloting clinical cases,
reflected the main advantages and problems when working with clinical cases of
partner universities.
Partners of
the FOR 21 Project from KazNMU named after Asfendiyarov Al-Abdullah Salima
Jalal and Bagirova F.A. shared their experience of using cases of virtual
patients created within the framework of the project to teach communication
skills.
In conclusion, the students Danoyan G.,
Kalybekova K., Tarasevich M. spoke, who noted the relevance of the development
of communication skills, made proposals to expand the number of clinical cases
with more advanced communication skills.
