ACADEMIC MOBILITY AT LUND UNIVERSITY

A second-year PhD student of 6D110200 “Public Health” specialty Alua Omarova has been studying at Lund University (Lund, Sweden) in the frame of the implementation of academic mobility programmefor the periodfrom 8April 2018 to 8June 2018.

During the training she took the course “Biostatistics and Public Health Research”, in addition completed and submitted the paper entitled “Challenges of Tap Water Supply in Rural Areas of Low- and Middle-Income Countries: A Case Study from Central Kazakhstan” to the journal “Water and Health”.

After the conducted work she carried out the seminar entitled “Protozoan Parasites in Drinking Water: A System Approach for Improved Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Developing Countries” at the Department of Water Resources. The teaching staff, PhD students and master students of Lund University were the listeners of the seminar. Providedinformationhas generatedgreatinterestamongthem.
