From May 9 to May 11, 2018 the Final meeting of the Erasmus Mundus “CASEU – Central Asian and European Universities” project was held at the University of Porto (Portu, Portugal). There were participated the representatives of the Karaganda State Medical University (Kazakhstan), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Kazakhstan), Samarkand Agricultural Institute (Uzbekistan), Urgench State University (Uzbekistan), University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Poitiers (France), Radboud University (Netherlands) and Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain).

Karaganda State Medical University joined to the project in 2014 year. Grant holder and coordinator of the CASEU project is University of Barcelona (Spain).

In the framework of the project, there were realized academic mobility of the Master, PhD students and administrative and academic staff from the partner universities of Europe countries to the Central Asian partner HEIs.

On the first day of the meeting, representatives of all universities made a report on the work done within the framework of the project. The coordinating team of CASEU presented the results of the third report of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

Our university presented a report on the visit of professors from the University of Poitiers - Paul Seit and Brigitte Vannier. Within the framework of the CASEU project, the professors visited our university twice: in the period from November 20 to December 4, 2017 and in April 2018. During the stay at the KSMU, Professors held lectures and practical classes, master classes on various topics, round tables and discussions with the academic staff of KSMU, laboratory classes - to the KSMU students. One of the important results of the work of the Professors was the organization of a scientific internship for 5 academic staff of the biological profile departments and 3 students of the master's degree in the specialty "Biology" at the University of Poitiers.

  The second day was devoted to the discussion of selection and recognition issues, master classes were held on the themes: Executive & Quality group and Communication and promotion group. Based on the results of the work in the groups, the final report was prepared, the flyers and brochures of the CASEU project were approved for dissemination.

  During the visit, also there was held a meeting between representatives of the Karaganda State Medical University and the School of Public Health of the University of Porto, where issues of further cooperation in the framework of academic mobility and potential joint scientific researches were discussed.
