The second stage of the project "TOM: Kazakhstan" will be held in KSMU.
On
November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. there will be held the second stage of the
project "TOM: Kazakhstan" at the Karaganda State Medical University where
the inventors will start to make prototypes for people with disabilities, which
will help to solve their social and domestic problems.
At the second stage of the "TOM" makeathon, the main task of 10 teams, including students, teachers, doctors, engineers, robots, IT and other specialists from all over Kazakhstan is to create a viable prototype. The main criterias for determining the viability of the prototype are convenience in its use, ease of manufacture, affordability. According to each criteria the teams will be assisted by experts from different fields: engineers, medical specialists, IT specialists throughout the makeathon in order to achieve the best result. The duration of the makeathon according to the already established world traditions is 72 hours of continuous process of prototype creation.
