In 1990, from February to August, the Banner of Peace was on-board of the orbital complex "Mir".
In 1997, within the framework of realization of international scientifically-elucidative project "The Banner of Peace" the call for cooperation was directed to the governments of entire countries to preserve the planet.
On January 1999, the Banner of Peace was handed to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbaev.The cosmonaut А.Leonov and professor S.Kapiza took part in the ceremony in the Presidential palace in Almaty.
