We invite you to take part in the Republican scientific-practical conference with international participation "Innovations and trends in modern surgery", dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of prof. S.V. Lokhvitsky, which will be held on February 19-20, 2015 in Karaganda.

During the conference different workshops will be presented by leading foreign and domestic surgical experts (abdominal and thoracic surgery, proctology, urology, intraluminal endoscopy). The program of workshops will be provided after January 15, 2015 on the website www.hako.kz.

The official number of guests from the regions of Kazakhstan and foreign countries is over 200. The main themes of the conference:

• Innovative technologies in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of surgical diseases.

• The importance of modern educational technologies in the medical school.

• Issues of evidence-based medicine in the surgical practice.

Conference languages are Russian, Kazakh, English.

The conference will bring together leading surgical, endoscopy specialists, administration officials, heads of departments and teachers of medical universities, heads and senior staff of Department of Health, directors of public health facilities and private clinics.

Conference proceedings will be published in the supplement to the scientific and practical periodic journal "Medicine and Ecology".

During the conference an exhibition will be held for the presentation of new educational and medical equipment, the possibility to organize satellite training seminars and training courses will also be given.

To participate in the conference the following materials should be sent to the Organizing Committee:

1. A filled conference application form.

2. A copy of the payment receipt of the registration fee.

3. Articles in the electronic form if they are to be published.

4. A copy of the payment receipt for publications.

5. Application for a workshop (in the case of participation).

6. A copy of the payment receipt of a workshop (in the case of participation).

7. In the case of participation in a workshop carry or send to the organizing committee a copy of identity card and a copy of diploma.

Payment for participation in the workshop is not included in the registration fee and must be made separately.

Annexure 1

REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLICATION

1.  An article for publication must be submitted in two copies. Text should be printed on one side of a standard sheet. 1 page should contain no more than 30 lines of text. Font is Times New Roman, size 14, one and a half line spacing, top and bottom margins of 2 cm, left 3 cm, right 1.5 cm. 

2.  On the first line in the upper right corner indicates the UDC of article, line below - Name of authors (no more than five) *. On the third line - the name of the thesis (in capital letters), on the fourth line - name of institution, city **. At the end of the article should be given addresses and phone numbers. Not more than 3 articles per author are to be accepted for publication.

3.  The article must have a visa of head of department, institutions for the right of publication.

4.  Photos, drawings and drawings should be scanned or executed in a computer variant. Photos should be contrast, drawings - accurate, signatures to illustrations are obligatory. In signatures to microphotos theway of colouring and ratio of zoom are necessarily specified.

5.  Tables should be entitled, numbered and printed.

6.  Abbreviations, names, titles, except for conventional, are not allowed. Units of measuring are on the SI system. The abbreviation stands after the first appearance in the text and remain unchanged.

7.  The list of references is made alphabetically and made out according to GOST 7.1-2003. In the text the bibliographic reference to source serial number in square brackets is given. References to the non published works are not supposed.

8.  Articles will be published in theSupplement of Journal «Medicine and Ecology» by blind copying, so work will only be accepted in carefully edited form in compliance with all of the above requirements. 

9.  Submission of work previously published or submitted to other editors for publication to the organizing committee, is not permitted.

10.  Publication cost is 500 tenge per 1 page, printed on the requirements of the organizing committee.

11.  The registration fee of 5,000 tenge or 1,500 tenge, you can transfer up to 30 January, 2014 to the account of "PO Independent Labour Union of staff and students of KSMU." Travel and accommodation expenses should be covered by the sending side.

The cost of the registration fee in the amount of 5000 tenge includes:

-  Certificate of participant

The cost of the registration fee in the amount of 1500 tenge includes:

-  Participation in the work of the conference

-Electronic version of the conference materials (CD disk)

The organizing committee and editorial board reserve the right to select articles and reports for the conference.
