The Embassy of France in Kazakhstan is launching a call for applications for short mobility assistance (1-3 months) to France for young Kazakh researchers in the technical field.

Number of scholarships: 2

Eligibility criteria:

·  Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

·  researcher having obtained his thesis for 5 years at most on the date of his arrival in France;

·  be attached to a higher education and/or research establishment and present a project whose work requires field research and/or close collaboration with a French laboratory.

Only applicants who have not received funding of the same type in the last three years are eligible.

Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:

·  academic excellence of candidates;

·  quality and relevance of the study project and its professional component;

·  fluency in French and/or English depending on the research stays;

·  research stays must fall within the framework of existing or ongoing partnerships between French and Kazakh educational or research institutions or contribute to the implementation of such partnerships.

French government (BGF) scholarship holders in this program receive the following benefits:

·  monthly maintenance allowance of €2,055 ;

·  exemption from registration fees in public establishments under the aegis of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation;

·  hosting arrangements;

·  Campus France insurance for the duration of the stay;

·  support by Campus France for the organization of the stay and the administrative procedures,

·  visa free;

·  transport costs: Airport journey – place of employment: payment is made only for the journey from the international airport closest to the scholarship holder to the airport or station of destination.

Applicants must provide the following documents:

- a copy of the passport (first page);
- free presentation of the study abroad project (in French or English);
- two CVs: one in French or in English depending on the course chosen, one in Russian or Kazakh;
- cover letter in French or English (1 front page);
- a letter of support from the Kazakh institution of origin, written in French or English (in pdf format);
- a letter of acceptance from the French host laboratory written in French (in pdf format);
- a hosting agreement with the French host laboratory.

Calendar and deadlines for filing:

·  receipt of applications until July 3, 2022 (24:00)

·  award decision communicated to applicants from July 12, 2022

·  dates of stay between September 1 and December 1, 2022
