Dear students and academic staff of the KMU!

Partner of the Karaganda Medical University - Van Yuzünch Yyl University (Turkey) invites to participate in the Mevlana exchange program for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Bachelor, master and doctoral students in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, public health, and biology can participate in this program.

Academic staff can participate in the following fields: languages ​​and philology, medicine, psychiatry and clinical psychology, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, biology, chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry.

Deadline for applications: February 27, 2019.

Application requirements for students:

- First year (currently the first term) students in bachelor’s degree programs cannot participate in Mevlana Exchange Program. Also, students who are in first semester in graduate schools (Master's and doctoral programs) cannot participate in this program

- The students’ cumulative grade point average for bachelor’s degree should be 2.5/4.00 or 65/100 and for Master, PhD level should be 3.00/4.00 or 76/100.

In evaluation of the application will be taken into account 50% of the GPA and 50% of the language

3.  Language Certificate (IELTS / TOEFL / B1 English or Turkish Certificate taken from an institution) . You don’t need it if the degree of Turkish language is shown in the transcript.

*The language of instruction is mainly Turkish in Van Yuzünch Yyl University. If you are applying from a Turkish Language Speaking Country or your mother tongue is Turkish, you don’t need to present a Turkish Certificate.

Scholarship: Eighty percent (80%) of the scholarship will be paid to students when the student comes to Van Yuzünch Yyl University. Twenty percent (20%) of the amount will be paid to student after the grades of the courses are announced. The amount is stable and it is 4800 Turkish Lira. The monthly scholarship is equal to 1200 Turkish Lira and it will be paid to student for four months.

Academic Staff Application Requirements:

Academic staff mobility periods can be minimum two weeks, maximum three months and mobility can only be authorised once in the same academic year. This mobility covers education-training activities such as seminars, panels or conferences and the weekly total hours of the courses must not be less than 6 hours. 

*Good knowledge of English or Turkish (certificate at the request of the university).

For academic staff the accommodation is not provided. The daily expenses for faculty are 40/50 Turkish liras (depending on title) and 3500 Turkish liras for travel costs.
