On November 11, 2022, at the Bashkir State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health for the first time was held an international scientific and practical conference "The use of simulation educational technologies in teaching of medical specialties", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the BSMU and the 10th anniversary of the Federal Accreditation Center of Ufa.

The official organizers of the event were the Russian Society for Simulation Education in Medicine (ROSOMED, Moscow), Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa) and the Federal Accreditation Center (Ufa). Topical issues of using simulation educational technologies in various areas of health care were discussed on the conference.

There were heard and discussed about 40 reports on the most topical issues of the use of simulation technologies in medical education. The main speakers of this Conference were Gorshkov Maxim, Director of the European Institute for Simulation in Medicine, Chairman of the ROSOMED Expert Council, Deputy of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Virtual Technologies in Medicine" (Moscow) and Gulshat Kemelova, Director of the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies of NCJSC "Medical University of Karaganda" (Kazakhstan).

In the conference the teaching staff, graduate students, and young scientists of medical universities, such as BSMU, Moscow Medical University after named Sechenov, Kazan State University, Volga Research Medical University (N. In report, Gulshat Kemelova shared best practices of the Karaganda Medical University NCJSC in implementing simulation training programs at different levels of education, the achievements of the center and prospects for further development.

Today, the simulation center of the Karaganda Medical University is the only one among the Post-Soviet countries awarded by the ASPIRE AMEE "Excellence in simulation" in 2017. The award is an indicator in quality assurance of medical education at the university and at the same time it is not an easy «burden», As this level of quality education is not easy to achieve, and it is even more difficult to maintain and improve the quality of education.

Nevertheless, the staff of the Karaganda Medical University strives to hold the «bar» the quality of training of medical specialists and continues to work on improving the approaches to learning and teaching to train worthy personnel for the healthcare system.
