The solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of the Republic was held at the Medical University of Karaganda.

Congratulated colleagues acting. Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Political Disciplines S.A. Nikiforov, recalling that in June of this year, the Head of State voiced the idea to return the status of a national holiday to the undeservedly forgotten Republic Day, since with the adoption of the Declaration on State Sovereignty on October 25, 1990, the countdown of Kazakhstan's path to independence began.

Previously, this day had the status of a national holiday, from 2001 to 2009 - a state holiday, but later the status was canceled. And today historical justice has triumphed.

Anar Akylbekovna Turmukhambetova, Chairman of the Board, Rector, delivered a welcoming speech and congratulations to the university staff, noting that today large-scale political and socio-economic changes are taking place in the country and changes are taking place at the university along with them.

Further, the management presented awards to employees of NJSC "MUK", who made a significant contribution to the training of medical personnel and the development of the university.
